Newark, NJ (Sports Network) - The New Jersey Devils have traded defenseman Sheldon Brookbank to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for center David McIntyre.
Brookbank, 28, has only played in 15 games this season for the Devils, accumulating 25 penalty minutes. In three NHL seasons with the Predators and Devils, he has nine assists and 100 penalty minutes in 62 games.
The 21-year-old McIntyre was selected in the fifth round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by Dallas, and is in his junior season at Colgate University. He has 13 goals and 17 assists in 26 games for Colgate this season.
