Looks like a gold medal doesn't go as far as it use to.
Some on social media are labeling Delta Airlines cold as ice after it denied a request from the gold medal-winning U.S. men's curling team for seat upgrades during the long flight back from South Korea. The request came first via a tweet from USA Curling and was seconded by team coach Phill Drobnick.
While it's probable the airline was simply unable to accommodate the request for logistical reasons, the wording of their response struck some as a bit... frigid.
That tweet upset some on social media, while others were willing to give the airline the benefit of the doubt.
