NBA Game Summary – Houston at New Jersey

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Yao Ming dominated inside to the tune of 24 points and 16 rebounds, as the Houston Rockets pounded the New Jersey Nets, 114-91.

Aaron Brooks hit four of Houston's nine three-pointers en route to 22 points to go with six assists in the Rockets' fourth straight win. Carl Landry and Tracy McGrady chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively, in the wire-to-wire thumping.

Keyon Dooling came off the bench to lead the Nets with 17 points as New Jersey closed out a four-game homestand with just one win. Vince Carter and Devin Harris shot a combined 7-for-24 and finished with 10 points apiece.

Yi Jianlian failed to showcase his range against Yao, his countryman from China, hitting just 4-of-13 from the floor and logging 10 points and seven boards.

The Nets shot 6-for-25 from the field in the first quarter, as Brooks nearly outscored the hosts single-handedly with 11 points, while pacing Houston to a 29-13 lead.

It was a 61-40 ballgame at the break thanks to the Rockets' terrific inside- outside game that saw them hit 7-for-11 from three-point distance in the opening half.

Houston remained in front by 21 heading into the final 12 minutes as the Nets couldn't stop the Rockets from getting easy baskets.

The same held true in the fourth quarter, as Ron Artest hit a jumper from the wing with nine minutes left for a 90-72 edge. Yao then followed with seven straight Rockets points, and his three-point play midway through the frame made it 98-77, and Houston cruised from there.
