NBA Game Summary – New York at New Jersey

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - Al Harrington and Tim Thomas both set season-highs with 39 and 26 points, respectively, as the New York Knicks halted a six-game slide on the road with a 121-109 victory over the Nets.

Harrington also grabbed 13 rebounds for the Knicks, who are still 2-4 over their last six games. Wilson Chandler poured in 24 points while Chris Duhon had 10 points and 10 assists.

David Lee saw his streak of 10 straight double-doubles come to an end as he left in the third with a bruised lower back for New York. He had 10 points and a rebound before leaving.

Devin Harris paced the Nets with 32 points and seven assists. Vince Carter added 18 points, seven boards and six helpers for New Jersey, which lost for the second time in its last seven games. Yi Jianlian had 13 points and Bobby Simmons 11 in defeat.

Two baskets from Harrington and a pair of free throws by Thomas gave the Knicks a 96-86 lead about two minutes into the fourth frame.

Carter and Jarvis Hayes drained jumpers to bring the Nets within six points, but Chandler was fouled as he made a three and connected for the rare four- point play to make it a double-digit lead with 4:40 left in the game.

New York led by as many as 14 points down the stretch and was never seriously threatened.

The Nets opened a 33-23 lead after the first quarter, but the Knicks cut it to 63-57 at the half.

Chandler and Harrington opened the third quarter with consecutive jumpers and Lee followed with a pair from the line to tie it at 63 early.

The teams went back and forth before Thomas poured in nine straight New York points to give the visitors an 86-79 lead late in the third.

A Quentin Richardson putback layup in the closing seconds gave the Knicks a 90-84 lead heading into the final 12 minutes.
