Ex-Rep Vito Fossella turned down run for old Staten Island post.

Former Republican representative Vito Fossella will not run for his old Staten Island seat.

The former congressman made the announcement Wednesday.
Fossella left office in 2008 after a DWI arrest revealed he had a secret second family -- including a baby with his mistress.
Fossella had considered running to recapture the seat and won the endorsement of county republicans earlier this month.
Democrat Michael Mcmahon, who succeeded Fossella, is running for re-election.
