Bush Scrambles to Reassure Donors as Rubio Pounces After Debate

Jeb Bush and his network are trying to reassure donors to stick with the GOP presidential candidate after a lackluster debate performance Wednesday, NBC News reported.

Bush held a conference call with top donors on Thursday with promises to improve.

He emphasized his commitment to primary states like New Hampshire and rolled out a high-profile endorsement from former Sen. Judd Gregg, he said on the call.

Bush told NBC News his plans to become a better candidate include doing what other candidates do, “which is rudely interrupt, not answer the questions that are asked.”
