Jose Antonio Vargas won the Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of the Virginia Tech shootings, and he wasn't even supposed to be in the U.S. The former Washington Post journalist has stepped forward to say he is an illegal immigrant who used fake Social Security numbers and false documents since emigrating from the Philippines at age 12. Now he wants to trade in his title of journalist for that of immigrant rights advocate. "I’m done running. I’m exhausted. I don’t want that life anymore," he said in an New York Times Magazine article about his situation.
