A car jumped a curb and hit five pedestrians, including three children, in Las Vegas Saturday evening, NBC News reported.
The driver, now in custody, hit the group after colliding with another car at an intersection, police said. "It was a very light contact between the two vehicles, but just enough to cause ... that vehicle [to] slide sideways 300 feet down the road and take out some folks that were just standing on the sidewalk minding their own business," Las Vegas police Sgt. Robert Stauffer told reporters.
Police originally told reporters that as many as eight pedestrians had been injured, but later revised the figure to five.
