Members of the Khorasan terrorist group were the target of a U.S. airstrike on Thursday, a defense official told NBC News. The strike, which was the third on the Syria-based jihadist group, targeted one or more individuals, the official said. A top bomb-maker for the group was killed by a U.S. drone on Nov. 6, U.S. officials told NBC News last week.
