Tidbits: Kate Gosselin is “Beyond Angry” at Jon

Insider says reality mom didn't expect Jon Gosselin to speak ill of her publicly

Now that the world knows reality TV dad Jon Gosselin “despises” the mother of his multiples and believes she may have had an affair with her bodyguard, Kate Gosselin is said to be furious with her soon-to-be ex-husband.

“(Kate) is beyond angry,” a Gosselin insider revealed to Radar Online. “She knows Jon is just trying to vent his anger at her, but she feels he’s gone way too far.”

According to the source, the “Jon & Kate Plus 8” mom isn’t shocked by Jon’s sentiments. She’s only surprised by the fact he would make the statements publicly and risk their children finding out.

“Kate knew it was coming,” the insider said. “But it’s still pretty bad.”

Kelly Clarkson responds to Self cover controversy
A case of heavy-handed retouching left Self magazine’s September cover girl, Kelly Clarkson, looking several dress sizes smaller and, according to the pop star, completely unrecognizable.

Last month, Self’s editor-in-chief, Lucy Danziger, defended her decision to run the slenderized shots, assuring readers the new and improved (and oh-so-altered) version of the curvy “American Idol” alum somehow left Clarkson looking “her personal best.” Of course, Danziger didn’t ask Clarkson’s opinion about that.

“The whole airbrushing thing has gone crazy,” Clarkson explained in an interview with Heat magazine. “I was like, ‘Who is that on the cover of the magazine?’ They were obviously not happy with what I look like. I’m not being mean about myself, but I just found it funny.”

The singer also found it all too familiar.

“I think it’s just one of those things that people have got so used to doing that they don’t even think twice about it,” Clarkson said.

Dish on the fly
Sex and the City” made him a household name, a hero to the shoe-obsessed masses, and boosted his bottom line, but designer Manolo Blahnik never wanted Carrie Bradshaw’s seal of approval or the fame that came with it. “If people talk to me about ‘Sex and the City,’ I get sick,” Blahnik told the Sunday Telegraph. “The taxi drivers recognize me now. It becomes too much and I don’t feel comfortable. I have never wanted to be a celebrity designer.” … Gaining weight may mean bad news for some actors, but when the part calls for it, Matt Damon is only too happy to pack on the pounds. “It was very, very easy to gain the weight,” Damon said of his 30-pound transformation for “The Informant!” In a quote posted to the Daily Mail, the actor explained, “It was very, very fun, probably the funnest time I had working, because I didn’t have to go to the gym after work and I just ate everything I could see… I’d eat a No. 1 Value Meal at McDonald’s and then Doritos on top of it. It was absolute heaven.”
