Surviving Jeffrey Epstein: Lifetime Working on DocuSeries of Another Alleged Predator in Wake of Successful R. Kelly Doc

With R. Kelly finally in jail facing an assortment of criminal charges, Lifetime now has another alleged predator in its cross hairs. Rob Sharenow, president of programming for A+E Networks, announced the network was working on a docuseries about the case of Manhattan financier Jeffrey Epstein. It will be titled “Surviving Jeffrey Epstein.”

Earlier this month a federal judge ordered Epstein remain behind bars at a bail hearing following a search-warrant revelation that Epstein had a fake passport and piles of cash stashed in his safe.

U.S. District Judge Richard Berman cited risk of flight and danger to the community in his decision against Epstein, a registered sex offender and private-island owner who faces new federal charges of exploiting dozens of underage girls in New York and Florida in the early 2000s. That means Epstein will remain behind bars pending trial, a date for the start of which has yet to be set.

Lifetime is also working on a follow up to the hit docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly,” which will be titled “Surviving R. Kelly: The Aftermath.”

Similarly prosecutors successfully urged a judge to keep R. Kelly in federal custody earlier this month calling him dangerous and a flight risk. Kelly faces a maximum of 195 years in prison on charges filed in Illinois, prosecutors said, and a maximum of 80 years on charges filed in New York.
