Supreme Court Limits Compensation to Child Porn Victims

The Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday that convicts possessing child pornography should pay restitution to victims, but within limits, NBC News reported. In the 5-4 ruling, the high court instructed judges to apportion the amount of damages based on how much suffering the convict's actions caused the victim. The case being considered involved a Texas man whose lawyers argued should not be liable for the full amount of a victim's damages because he only possessed the porn.
