A Maine woman is accused of squeezing her infant daughter's head so hard that it changed colors, according to a report.
CentralMaine.com reports that 31-year-old Alex Littlefield of Augusta was arrested and charged with domestic assault on her 6-month-old daughter.
The alleged incident happened when officials arrived to take custody of Littlefield's child, who would have been placed with Littlefield's mother.

Littlefield squeezed her infant daughter's forehead "so hard that baby's head started turning red and pink," Augusta Police officer Brad Chase said.
Chase said he and a fellow officer had to pry the woman's arms off the baby, who was taken by a state worker.
According to CentralMaine.com, officials said substance abuse issues led to the state's involvement with Littlefield.
The suspect is due in court on April 12.
