A North Texas school bus driver, who was allegedly naked on a campus Sunday afternoon, has been cited for indecent exposure and fired.
Mayford K. Davis transported students in the Weatherford Independent School District, 20 miles west of Fort Worth.
Weatherford police confirmed to NBC 5 that they received a report of a nude man lying face down in the grass area of the back parking at Tison Middle School on Oct. 26.
Officers say when they approached 69-year-old Davis, he was pulling up his shorts.
Davis told the officers he was sunbathing and that he does it often. He said he's never seen anyone in the area of the school on Sunday afternoons and wanted to take advantage the warm, sunny day.
Davis was fired Oct. 27 by the bus company, First Student Inc. A spokeswoman with Ohio-based First Student said Friday that Davis was no longer employed and declined further comment.
No publicly listed phone number could immediately be located Friday for Davis.
