Obama: Politics the Only Obstacle to Prosperity

President Obama told supporters at a Michigan battery plant the country's credit downgrade was a "self-inflicted wound" brought on by partisan politics and voiced optimism about economic recovery. "There's nothing wrong with our country, there is something wrong with our politics," he said from the factory in Holland, Michigan. The president said it was only fair if everyone--including the wealthy--chips in to help trim the deficit. "You learn that in kindergarten," he said.
