A body found in a creek in Indianapolis is not missing 20-year-old co-ed Lauren Spierer, according to a spokesman for the local coroner. Friends and family feared that the badly decomposed body found on Sunday was the student who went missing 50 miles away in Bloomington, Indiana, about a month ago. Spierer was last seen near her apartment after a night out drinking with friends and her disappearance sparked a series of mass volunteer searches. Police are currently investigating whether or not the creek remains belonged to a missing 74-year-old great-grandmother from nearby town of Noblesville.
