Court Removes Thai Prime Minister From Office

Thailand's prime minister was dismissed from office Wednesday along with part of her Cabinet after the Constitutional Court found her guilty of abusing her power, NBC News reported. The court ruled that Yingluck Shinawatra's act of transferring a senior civil servant in 2011 to another position violated their constitution. The move was a win for Shinawatra's opponents after months of protests, but also casts doubt over whether elections planned for July will occur.
