Taliban Suicide Bomber Attacks Police Station in Kabul

A suicide bomber attacked police headquarters in Kabul, Afghanistan Sunday, officials said, killing one person and injuring six others, NBC News reported. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, which appeared to target Kabul Police Chief Gen. Zaher Zaher. He told reporters at the scene that a suicide bomber in military uniform had detonated explosives just outside of his office, killing his chief of staff. He said security footage would be examined to determine how the bomber could have passed through tight security undetected.
