The four-disc collector's edition that will hit the shelves in November contains new interviews with McCartney, along with a book of photos and an audio documentary. Other versions of the album will also be available.
The Grammy-winning "Band on the Run" spawned several major hits, including the title track and "Jet." It sold over seven million copies worldwide and landed at the top of the U.S. charts three different times.

Wings formed in 1971 and included McCartney, his late wife, Linda, and ex-Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine. The band made nine albums before breaking up in 1981.
A statement released from McCartney's camp indicated that the November reissue will be the first release from Paul's archive collection that encompasses 40 years of material.
"Band on the Run" made the cut for one of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
