Jon Gosselin: “I Care About Kate Majors”

Reality TV dad says gal pal resigned from reporter gig for him

Reality TV dad Jon Gosselin said he has feelings for ex-reporter Kate Majors -- but said his relationship with the blonde bombshell is "private."

"I care about Kate Major, she resigned from her job for me," he told E! News. "Right now, my focus is on my relationship with my kids. My personal relationship is private."

Majors, 26, resigned from her job as a Star magazine reporter last week after she claims she fell for the star of TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" while she was reporting on his crumbling marriage to soon-to-be ex-wife Kate.

"I didn't mean for it to happen, it just did," Majors gushed last week. "I went to do a story on Jon and ended up falling for him."

The pair was first photographed at a Manhattan restuarant two weeks ago and spent time hobnobbing in the Hamptons last week where they dined out with Lindsay Lohan's dad, Michael, and "Real Housewives" star Jill Zarin.

Majors' budding relationship with Jon was reason enough for her former employer to sign off on her resignation.

"We recognize that her relationship with Jon Gosselin, a figure of national interest who is on our current cover, could raise questions about the objectivity of our reporting," the magazine said in a statement last week.  "We therefore believe it is in our mutual best interest to part company."

Though Jon said he's become close with Kate, the father of eight has also been linked to 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, the daughter of ex-wife Kate's tummy tuck surgeon.

They pair reportedly grew close following his split from wife Kate in June when Jon stayed at his gal pal's house.

"My heart is always with Hailey," Gosselin said over the weekend.

"I'm just a regular guy who just wants to have friendship and good times," he said. "And I like meeting people."
