In only his second Sprint Cup ever, 20-year-old Trevor Bayne was crowned king of the racetrack at the Daytona 500.

He beat out Carl Edwards by a mere 0.118 seconds, becoming the youngest ever Daytona 500 winner. And all just a day after his 20th birthday.

Bayne, whose official web site says "Coming Soon," never even allowed himself to daydream about such a magical finish.

"Our first 500, are you kidding me?" said Bayne, who needed directions to Victory Lane. "Wow. This is unbelievable."

Bayne was pushed by Bobby Labonte and had just enough fuel to get across the line ahead of a hard-charging Edwards. David Gilliland was third and Labonte settled for fourth.
The Wood Brothers are one of NASCAR's original teams, and their last win was at Bristol 2001 with Elliott Sadler.

Bayne was driving a David Pearson throwback paint scheme. Pearson goes into the Hall this year.
