Jerry Lewis Gun Charges Dropped

"The Nutty Professor" is no "Patsy."

Proving he still pulls weight in Las Vegas, Jerry Lewis beat gun charges against him in Sin City today.

A local judge dismissed the case, stemming from a July incident where the 82-year old comedian tried to carry a concealed weapon through McCarran International Airport, and let Lewis off without a fine.

Lewis has said that the gun was a gift that he'd placed in a carry-on bag more than a year ago and forgot about until he was stopped at a security checkpoint.

His lawyer, Ross Goddman, said Lewis was forced to give up the engraved gun.

The attorney called the judgment "a good result for a great guy."
