"Celebrity Rehab" might have had trouble coming up up with a superstar for its upcoming season, but it has a superstar's sibling in Eric Roberts.
Roberts, 54, the brother of Oscar winner Julia Roberts, is going on the show to kick his addiction to prescription marijuana, his wife told E! He'll join Rachel Uchitel, the party planner linked to Tiger Woods's sex scandal, "The Hills" star Jason Wahler, original supermodel Janice Dickinson, 1970s teen heartthrob Leif Garrett, troubled actor Jeremy London, socialite Jason Davis and Keyshia Cole’s mother Frankie Lons.
"Eric quit drugs and alcohol in 1995," the actor's wife, Eliza Roberts told E! News. "He has no interest in anything, other than marijuana."
Castmates on the VH1 program are counseled by Dr. Drew Pinsky as they battle drugs or alcohol in a group home. No airdate for "Rehab" has been set, but the show is expected to air before the year’s end. The show reportedly sought to get Lindsay Lohan, but was rebuffed by the troubled starlet.
Roberts, whose screen credits include "The Pope of Greenwich Village,""Star 80" and "Runaway Train," is getting support from his famous sister, according to Eliza Roberts.
"There's a lot of love in that family," she said. "They all really care about each other."
A rep for Roberts downplayed the severity of his addiction in a statement.

"It is NOT for any serious drug/substance, or prescription drug abuse problem," read the statement. "Eric wishes to express his genuine thanks for the concern for his well being, and appreciates the support of his family, friends and fans."
Past "Rehab" stars include actress Mackenzie Phillips, former basketball star Dennis Rodman, ex-Madam Heidi Fleiss, Guns n Roses drummer Steven Adler and actress Brigitte Nielsen.
London, the former "Party of Five" star, last month told police a bizarre story of being kidnapped and forced to take drugs, will reportedly be paid $40,000 for his stint on the show. This is not his first time he's been to rehab: London was admitted to a clinic in September for an addiction to prescription drugs.
Dickinson, who ruled the catwalk in the 1970s and claims to be the first supermodel, is reportedly looking to beat the bottle. It won't be her first stint on reality TV: She was a judge on "America's Next Top Model" and had her own show on Oxygen, called "The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency."
Uchitel and her attorney Gloria Allred canceled a news conference in March as reports circulated she had an affair with Woods. Since then, she has denied any romantic ties to Woods, though she did acknowledge having an affair with married actor David Boreanz. That admission came after a website released alleged text messages between the pair that she claimed were fake.
