“Bachelor” May Tap Former Contestant as Lead for New Season

Maybe the second time is the charm for Brad Womack.

The former "Bachelor" contestant is close to taking over as the lead for the show's 15th season, reports Us Magazine.

The 37-year-old Texas bartender is infamous for leaving both DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft roseless at the end of the show's 11th season.

According to the Us report, Womack's lack of a decision the last time was based on the fact that he never felt the connection needed to marry one of the women. If selected, he knows he has to be more open this go around.

Ty Brown, a 31-year-old country music singer and a contestant on last season's edition of the show, is also reportedly in the running. However, last year's runner up, Chris Lambton, is almost certain to skip out on making a second appearance.

The new "Bachelor" will be announced on the September 27 episode of "Dancing With the Stars."
