Six U.S. companies were chosen to build the wall between the U.S. and Mexico. Some of those companies include KWR Construction, Inc., from Arizona; ELTA North America, Inc., from Maryland; and Sterling Construction, from Houston, Texas.

The companies have to build a solid wall that also allows agents to view the other side of the wall.

A team with U.S. Customs and Border Protection will evaluate all the prototypes in the final weeks of October.
A total of eight prototypes are being constructed. Four will be made of concrete and four others will be made of "alternative materials."
