Leanna Harris, right, wife of Justin Ross Harris, the father of a toddler who died after police say he was left in a hot car for about seven hours, arrives for her husband's bond hearing in Cobb County Magistrate Court, Thursday, July 3, 2014, in Marietta, Ga

The wife of the Atlanta-area man charged with killing their toddler by locking him in an SUV has filed for divorce, NBC News reported.

Leanna Harris submitted paperwork, saying the 10 year marriage was “irretrievably broken.”

Her husband, Justin Ross Harris, is behind bars. His trial is scheduled to begin on April 11.

Prosecutors content he was having marital problems and that he left his 22-month-old son Cooper in a hot vehicle on purpose for seven hours. Temperatures topped 92 degrees that day.

The accused dada claims he drove to work and didn’t realize his son was strapped in the back seat.
