United Arab Emirates Names Official 'Minister for Happiness'

    The United Arab Emirates has named a “minister for happiness” in a new cabinet announced by the prime minister, NBC News reported.

    Ohood Al Roumi will now assume the new post of minister of state for happiness. She is currently the director general of Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s office, a position that she will also keep.

    Mohammed has promised to make happiness a part of the lifestyle in the UAE, and said Al Roumi will “align and drive government policy to create social good and satisfaction.”
