Time Warner Warns Customers Their Emails and Passwords May Have Been Stolen

As many as 320,000 Time Warner Cable customers may have had their emails and passwords leaked, the company said on Wednesday.

The cable giant said in a statement to NBC News "there are no indications that TWC's systems were breached.” The company suggested its customers' information may have been acquired earlier by other means, such as malware.

TWC said it’s working with the FBI, which informed the company of the stolen emails and passwords, all belonging to the Roadrunner service.

Customers with emails ending in “@rr.com” may be affected. TWC should be sending those customers information on how to reset passwords.
