Israeli medics move a Palestinian woman, who police believe attacked a man, at the scene of a stabbing attack in Jerusalem, Monday, Nov. 23, 2015. Two Palestinian teenage girls stabbed a 70-year-old Palestinian man, apparently mistaken for an Israeli, with scissors outside a central Jerusalem market on Monday before they were shot by police -- in a fresh burst of violence ahead of the arrival of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.

Two teenaged girls armed with scissors were shot after stabbing two people in Jerusalem on Monday, officials said.

The two injured were a 27-year-old and a 70-year-old Palestinian man, according to NBC News.

Information on the condition of the two teen attackers was not available.

Monday's attacks follow a particularly bloody weekend in the recent spate of violence in Israel and the West Bank. Over the past two months, Palestinian stabbings and other attacks have killed 18 Israelis, while 87 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, according to The Associated Press.
