Sony is warning customers about a fire risk their newest Vaio personal computers may pose.
The company says its Vaio Fit 11A laptops could overheat and catch fire. Customers are asked to stop using their laptops as soon as possible.
Three incidents of batteries overheating and "causing partial burns to Vaio computers" have been reported in the last month, The Wall Street Journal reported.
In a letter to their customers, Sony says it's "currently identifying affected PCs by serial numbers and developing a program to repair or replace the affected PCs at no charge..."
Details on a potential recall will be posted within two weeks, Sony adds.
Sony stopped selling the Vaio Fit 11A model at the beginning of the month.
