Report: Accused Trooper Killer Eric Frein Texted ‘All is Good' Before Ambush

A newspaper reports that police ambush suspect Eric Frein wrote "all is good" in a text message less than five hours before he allegedly opened fire outside a state police barracks in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains.

The Times-Tribune of Scranton reports that a search warrant affidavit says Frein's longtime friend received a text from the suspect around 6:15 p.m. on Sept. 12.

The affidavit says Frein also wrote that he had stayed at the friend's apartment in East Stroudsburg the previous night. The friend was in Virginia at the time.

Frein's text also said he was "heading back to Delaware.''

Police say Frein ambushed the Blooming Grove barracks later that night, killing one trooper and wounding another. Authorities have been looking for him in the woods around his parents' home in Canadensis.

The manhunt entered its fourth week Saturday.
