Alabama Truck Accident Leads to Chemical Fire and Evacuation

Officials evacuated an Alabama interstate after a tractor-trailer filled with chemicals crashed into another truck, causing a fireball explosion, NBC News reported.

The chemical truck slammed into another truck Wednesday afternoon on the Birmingham Interstate 20/59 northbound. The truck oozed a flammable brew made up of hydrogen peroxide, sodium hydroxide and sulfuric acid.

No injuries have been reported. Birmingham police said they expected the spill to be cleaned up by Thursday morning.
