Disc Jockey Who Railed Against Gun Violence Fatally Shot in Pa.

A Wilkes-Barre disc jockey who rallied against gun violence after the deaths of his younger brother and Florida teen Trayvon Martin has met the same fate.

Officials say Michael Onley was shot and killed Sunday morning in a lot behind a city bar.

The Citizens' Voice reports that there are no suspects in the 12:15 a.m. slaying, the third in Wilkes-Barre in the past month.

Onley's brother, Anthony, was fatally shot in early 2012 in Columbia, S.C., a few weeks before Martin was killed in a case that attracted national attention.

Authorities say Onley was gunned down near the Outsiders Bar, where he regularly worked under the name "DJ Mo.''

The death has been confirmed by Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis.
