The man, identified as Matthew Paul Bender, walked into Texas Car Title & Payday Loan in the 1100 block of East Pioneer Parkway at about 2:15 p.m., officers said.

He allegedly wore a face mask and a vest that said "SWAT" on the back.

Although the weapon Bender was carrying resembled an assault rifle, it was actually a BB gun. Police said the man fired a shot inside the business, striking one person in the ankle.

That individual was transported to Medical Center Arlington.

Bender fled the scene with an unknown amount of stolen cash.

His vehicle was spotted near Collins Street and Park Row Drive a short time later. Bender was arrested the man without incident. He has been charged with aggravated robbery. Additional charges are pending.

Bender was being held in Arlington City Jail on a $15,000 bond. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
