Millions to Shiver in First Frost and Freeze of Fall

It’s time to dust off that coat, as temperatures are about to drop for millions of Americans this weekend. Some parts of the Northeast are likely to get their first dusting of snow this weekend, NBC News reported.

For those living from the Great Lakes to the East Coast, overnight temperatures were forecast to drop from Friday night until Tuesday. Overnight temperatures will fall into the 40s for much of the Eastern half of the country, according to Weather Channel lead forecaster Michael Palmer.

"It will be the first frost and freeze for lots of people, and the coldest air of fall so far," he said.
