A $45,000 statue of iconic TV personality Ed Sullivan was found Thursday after being stolen earlier this week, police said.
The solid bronze statue, which weighs about 20 pounds, was being displayed in an outdoor exhibit at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza in North Hollywood when it was taken from atop its pedestal on Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
North Hollywood detectives recovered the statue Thursday and said it was in good condition, but police would not give any more details about the discovery.
Police said the investigation into the theft was still ongoing.
