Boyle Heights Man Missing From Manhattan Since Before Thanksgiving: NYPD

Police in New York are searching for a 30-year-old man from Los Angeles reported missing in Manhattan two days before Thanksgiving.

Steven Reynoso, of Boyle Heights, was last seen leaving a Midtown hotel on Tuesday, Nov. 25, wearing a pea coat, jeans, tennis shoes -- all black -- and carrying a black bag, according to a New York Police Department spokesman.

Reynoso is 5'10" and weighs 260 pounds, police said. He was staying at the Renaissance Hotel at 7th Avenue and 49th Street.

Reynoso took his girlfriend to the hotel in Times Square for a short vacation, the week before Thanksgiving, according to the New York Daily News, which first reported the story.

He left the hotel about 4 p.m. that Tuesday, telling his girlfriend that he was going to meet up friends, Reynoso's girlfriend told the newspaper.

Reynoso was trying to market a hangover cure he had invented at the time of his disappearance, his family told the newspaper, and his cellphone either died or was shut off about a day after he disappeared.

His family in LA declined to speak with a reporter from KNBC4.

Anyone with any information regarding Reynoso's whereabouts was asked to call the New York Police Department's Crime Stoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS.
