Bill Clinton Campaigning in NH for Hillary

More than 750 people came out to Dartmouth College Monday to see former President Bill Clinton campaign for his wife, Hillary Clinton.

Many voters discouraged by this election told necn after the event they were reinvigorated by Clinton's positivity.

"I really wanted to get a chance to see one of the presidents that I idolize," said New London resident Michael T. Brown II.

Clinton's focus at Dartmouth College Monday was inclusion.

"If we're stronger together, we have to mean it, it's not us and them, us and them, us and them," Clinton told the packed auditorium at Alumni Hall.

Though Clinton didn't once mention the Republican nominee by name, he still took aim at Donald Trump.

"We've got a guy running for president who knows more about ISIS than our military, he says everything is a disaster but his campaign," Clinton said.

Many people are calling this the nastiest election in our country's history.

"I have never seen anything like it and I am sickened by it," said Fran Newton of Ashland. "We should be better than that as a people and as a country."

In a statement Monday, the Republican National Committee pointed to newly leaked Clinton campaign emails. RNC Spokesperson Johanna Persing, writing, "New emails indicate more corruption within the Clinton inner circle after it was revealed that an influential Clinton Foundation official convinced the campaign to accept big money raised by lobbyists representing foreign governments. While Bill Clinton is in New Hampshire today, the former president should explain to Granite Staters why corruption, conflicts of interest, and deceit seem to follow the Clintons."

Clinton didn't address any of the scandals that've followed this campaign, but we took the question to voters.

When asked whether anything causes hesitation in casting a vote for Hillary Clinton, Brown answered, "Well, her emails a little bit, but here's the thing, we all make mistakes."

"I don’t know the truth about these things and all I can do is go with is my gut, and I trust these people, call me crazy, but I do," said Virginia Ramus of White Water Junction.

"Hillary Clinton, sure she’s had a few issue, but I believe she will do right for our country," agreed Connor Cryans.

So too does her husband and he's warning America about the alternative.

"If you don't want someone to drive the truck off a cliff, don't give them the keys," Clinton told the crowd.

The latest polls put Clinton ahead of Trump in the Granite State by a four to six point lead.
