A 16-year-old from Milford was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder in the stabbing death of a Shelton teenager over the weekend.
The 16-year-old suspect turned himself in to Shelton police Wednesday morning, according to Det. Richard Bango.
Police said the suspect and McGrath knew of each other and attended rival schools. Police later said the suspect attends St. Joseph's High School in Trumbull.
McGrath was a junior at Fairfield Prep and played on the school's lacrosse team.
The suspect was responsible for killing McGrath and injuring three others, according to police. The three other victims have been released from the hospital, police said.

Investigators said the stabbings took place during a fight, but wouldn't comment on what may have started the fight. They said they believe the suspect used a knife but aren't 100% sure about the weapon used.
The 16-year-old suspect was being held on a $2,000,000 bond. He was scheduled to be arraigned in New Haven Juvenile Court Wednesday and will then be transferred to adult court, according to police.
