Women Ask Women for Directions, Then Rob Them: NYPD

Police are looking for a group of women who they say stole from four women in upper Manhattan last month, asking for directions before stealing cash, credit cards, jewelry and cell phones.

The robbers stole from four women in Inwood and Washington Heights during an hourlong spree on May 26, police say.

Each time, one suspect approached a woman on the street and asked for directions. As the victim helped out, the three other suspects would surround and rob the woman.

No one was injured in any of the robberies.

Police believe that the robbers are all between 16 and 20 years old.

Anyone with information about the suspects should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
