Police said they found the charred and dismembered body of a woman on the roof of a Bronx apartment building.
Police identified the dead woman Paulemont Manuella.
Manuella's boyfriend, Shadron Rambert, has been arrested and charged with burglary and criminal contempt after allegedly violating a restraining order she had against him. Rambert, 28, could face more charges after the city medical examiner determines the cause of death.
Police were responding to a 911 call of a missing person when they discovered the remains at the building in the Fordham section on Wednesday night.
Police identified Manuella as the person reported missing.
