Police have arrested the husband of a woman found strangled in her home in the Bronx.
Maria Pena, 62, was pronounced dead by emergency responders after they were called to her apartment inside the Monroe Houses at Soundview Avenue Thursday evening, according to police.
Police say she had been strangled.
On Friday, her husband, 60-year-old Nelson Pena, was arrested on a murder charge. He had self-inflicted stab wounds at the time of arrest, according to police.
It's not clear if he has an attorney.
