A woman is facing charges for allegedly snatching someone's dog from inside a fenced yard in Queens, police say.
The NYPD said an 18-year-old woman got into a North Corona’s fenced-in front yard Friday morning and stole the home owner’s 2-year-old Shih Tzu.
After grabbing the white pup, the dog snatcher fled east down 37th Avenue, police said.
The New York Post reports that the dog's owner, 25-year-old Doris Campos, got a call from the alleged thief's mother, who said the 18-year-old thought the pup, named Chula, was a stray.
The woman, from Queens, faces petit larceny and stolen property possession charges.
