A 66-year-old woman was beaten into unconsciousness in her Manhattan apartment and investigators said Tuesday they are questioning her husband about the assault.
The victim was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she was said to be in critical condition.
Police are questioning the woman's 69-year-old husband who said his wife fell, investigators said.
The incident occurred inside the couple's apartment at Knickerbocker Village, a gated complex on Monroe Street.
