Police are searching for the driver of a gray BMW who struck and seriously injured a 27-year-old woman early Saturday morning in Brooklyn.
The woman, whose identity wasn't released by police, was crossing Rodney Street in the vicinity of Hope Street in front of a taxi that had stopped to allow her to pass. As she crossed, a 2000 BMW 323i swerved around the taxi and struck her, police said.
The BMW sped away from the scene, police said.
Police released a surveillance photo of the BMW and said the New York license plate number is GZY2240.
The woman suffered trauma to her head and is in critical condition at Bellevue Hospital.
