A man and a woman are wanted for attempting to rob a man inside a building in Morrisania, authorities said.
In the evening of June 7, a woman asked a 29-year-old man for money. The victim gave her a dollar and after exchanging some words, they both entered a building on Tinton Avenue, police said.
When they reached the 16th floor, a man approached the victim at the stairway and tried to grab his personal belongings while demanding money.
The victim struggled to fight off the man when the woman slashed him on the side of his face, police said. The attackers ran and the victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital.
Police released surveillance photos of the attackers on Saturday.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
