A 26-year-old woman fell to her death while climbing down from an apartment fire escape in Manhattan early Tuesday, police say.
The woman fell from the escape of a five-story building on Vermilyea Avenue in Inwood sometime around 2 a.m., according to the NYPD.
It's not clear what caused the woman to fall.
The fall is under investigation.
