Woman Gives Birth on MTA Bus in Queens: FDNY

A baby was born on an MTA bus at the height of rush hour in Queens Wednesday evening, officials say.

The mother was riding the Q9 bus in Jamaica when she went into labor at about 6:15 p.m., according to FDNY.

The driver pulled over on the corner of 150th Street and Jamaica Avenue, and the woman gave birth inside the bus, fire officials said.

Mom and baby were taken to Jamaica Hospital where they were listed in good condition.

It wasn't clear how far along the woman was, or who assisted in the delivery. A message was left with the MTA.
