Woman Gets Out of Cab, Is Grazed by Bullet: Police

A woman stepped out of a cab on the Lower East Side early Sunday and was grazed by a bullet, police said. 

The 26-year-old told police she got out of the cab at Ludlow Street near Rivington just before 5 a.m. and started to walk down the street. She felt something on her shoulder and realized she was shot, police said. 

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital, police said. 

It's not clear whether she was the intended target, police said. No suspect is in custody. 

The investigation is ongoing.
