Rain, Fog, Unseasonably Warm Temperatures Throughout Tri-State

The temperatures will reach close to 60 degrees Friday, and will remain warm throughout the weekend.

Rain and fog will continue to linger throughout the tri-state area early Friday afternoon as unseasonably warm weather rolls into the area.

LaGuardia Airport is experiencing delays of up to an hour on incoming and outbound flights, and traffic on the roads is heavy with reduced visibility. The fog is densest in the suburbs and will make travel difficult.

The rain and fog should lift just after lunch, and the evening commute will be dry. The temperatures should be in the mid to upper 50s, thirty degrees above the average for January. Expect a passage of a cold front with breezy winds Friday night.

The weekend forecast continues to be unseasonably warm, with temperatures reaching near 50s with partly to mostly cloudy skies.
